I had to think about how this was going to be assembled (on the truck and in the driveway) and wanted all of the pieces to be related to one another so there wasn’t any critical placement needed by those poor fabricators (us). This was really important because they have an online tool, shown in the video above, that visualizes the bends in the panel for the designer, highlighting any conflicts with the press brake. Because many of our panels were not immediately manufacturable, I was able to use that real-time feedback to make changes in Onshape and find a solution for all of the panels relatively quickly.
